New features to be released on June 26, 2014

We are excited to announce the availability of following new features. These features will be made available to all users on June 26, 2014 at approximately 11 PM EST

1. Users an now move multiple objects in bulk from one collection to another

Users will now be able to move media objects in bulk to another collection that they have access to.  In the manage media page, owners of media objects and other authorized users will be able to select one or more media objects and then choose the collection they want these objects to be moved to. With this new features users can move up to 100 objects at a time to a different collection.

2. Institutional Administrators can now enable student uploads for individual LMS

Institutional Administrators can now enable student uploads for each LMS that is integrated with NJVID. This option is now available on the Institutional Profile page.

3. Institutional Administrator’s now have the option to show Userids/Usernames in their statistics report.

By default, Userids/usernames are not shown in the Usage statistics report by default (except for the Institutional Administrator). However, the Institutional Administrator can now choose to enable this for the institution by changing the option in the Institution Profile. All users who have access to view the report will be able to see the usernames instead of a generic term.

4. Bulk export of MARC records of commercial videos.

The Institutional administrators and library staff who have permissions to view the licenses of commercial videos will now also be able to export MARC records in bulk from the “Commercial Video Licenses” screen. Authorized users will be able to filter the videos down to a specific publisher before exporting the MARC records. The records will be mailed to the user requesting it to the user’s email address.
